Day-to-day editorial workflow.
Create a new entry
- Go to Content and pick a type from the sidebar.
- Click New entry.
- Enter Title — slug auto-generates on first save.
- Fill required custom fields (marked with asterisk or validation message).
- Set Status to Published when ready, or leave as Draft.
- Click Save entry or Save & view.

- Main column — Title, custom fields, block builder (when enabled)
- Aside — Publish status, dates, featured image, taxonomies, SEO panel
- Sticky save bar — Always visible at bottom on long forms
Slug and URL
Each entry has a URL slug (auto-generated from title). Keep slugs short, lowercase, and hyphenated. Changing a slug after publish breaks old links unless you add redirects.
Featured image
When the type supports it, click the featured image area to open the media picker. Used for cards, social previews, and theme templates.
Publish dates
- Published at — Future date schedules automatic publish via jobs
- Scheduled unpublish — Optionally hide after a date
Preview
When the type has a public route, use Save & view or the preview link. Draft preview may require staff authentication depending on configuration.
Trash
Deleted entries move to trash (when enabled). Restore from Tools → Trash before permanent deletion.
Troubleshooting
- Validation error on save — Check required fields and entry_refs rules (public targets).
- 404 after publish — Confirm type has public route and published_at is in the past.
